These are parade saddle created by Ted Flowers and Bruce Lovins in the 1950's thru the late 1960's. This type of saddle was only made for a period of about 35 years as a response to the Hollywood "B" Westerns. They have become an icon of the Golden Age of the Hollywood Cowboy (Roy Rogers, Lone Ranger, Gene Autry, etc). They are becoming very rare today and are all in need of restoration and/or conservation care. Though they look heavy they only weigh about 80 pounds with all the parts together. Watch the Pasadena Parade of Roses to see many of these in use. Thanks for looking. To see more visit my website at PVSaddleshop.com
