    Thank you for your comment!!

I think they should be appreciated more highly.

Niels had something that made him stand out from every bass players.

  • Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen had a way of making the bass SING. Great song. Thanks for sharing!

  • @tedhoff

     I agree with your opinion.

  • NHOP had the ability to make his bass sing in such a warm tone that the very air through wich that sound traveled seemed to love you.

  • God needs this bass player

  • Goddamn. We're not gonna get another group like this for a long time. Also, is it just me, or does NHOP's tone have a rather large dose of Jaco in this recording?

  • My God, I just had an eargasm. What astounding tone, groove and compositional awesomeness!

  • power in freedom of passion and inventiveness.somethings so difficult to attain seem like a game in their precious fingers...!

  • This era of jazz playing in particular is something very precious in human history. One of depth, sincerity, purity and not forgetting the passion of the African-American soul, their plight, their nostalgia. In the pursuit for egoistic heights many artists have overlooked these so important aspects that if forsaken for long, than jazz will lose it's title as a music of the human heart.

  • @Brugadd You are so right ! Oscar Peterson said about Niels that he was not a bass player, but he WAS the bass.

  • Wow...That double bass is out of this world. Soooo groovy....

  • cool

  • Wow what a mad tune.
