  • This modular HO scale layout features scenes from Cincinnati Ohio in the 1930s and 40s. The two-car train operating on the subway line are models of Chicago El 4000-series cars produced by Q-Car Co. They are finished to look like cars that might have been ordered for the Rapid Transit System, had it been completed as planned. The Chicago cars were built by the Cincinnati Car Co. Its plausible that the Cincinnati Street Railway would have turned to this builder for rapid transit cars as well.

  • The single-end streetcar running over the subway on city streets is a 100-series type, created by modifying a Bachmann Peter Witt model. The 100-series cars were built by Cincinnati Car Co. in 1928. The overhead trolley wire on this portion of the layout is not complete. It will feature double overhead wires, which were used by Cincinnatis streetcars—an unusual construction that was peculiar to the Cincinnati Street Railway. Only one wire has been erected so far.

  • This is a great looking layout. I love the catenary detail. I am glad you got to buy my streetcar. It came from my personal collection so it makes me happy it went to a good home. Thanksf or sending me the link.
