Great song, just remembered that the lead singer introduced me to the one & only Nick Drake, for that I thank him.

@ThoughtTraveler I AGREE

@ThoughtTraveler I agree with you on mostly all of your wishes for the good ol' days of the 80s (thought there were many worries in the 80s... nuclear holocaust anyone!), but I disagree about the TSA agents. I'd rather be groped than allow some American born terrorist, whether Islamic or some white dude with an anti government sentiment, to blow me up, along with the plane I am riding in!

i remember making out to this and others in the 80s in high school. how i would love to go back to that time.

MrVideoman- the Dream Academy did make a 12 inch extended version of this song. It was released in the UK. Check it out sometime. It is readily available on ebay cheap.

Too bad this group never made it big I loved this song senior year in high school- 1986 now i am 44 still love this song! Too bad the group did not make a 12 extended single of this song. I have the album on vinyl.
The Love Parade sounds so fresh and vital, it could have been made yesterday, never mind twenty five years ago. This is pop at its sublime best, bursting with sweet melody and exuberance. I can still picture myself listening to it in 1985 on a tape from the radio- the thrill of great pop is just as strong today, for which I am eternally grateful. Just like Prefab Sprout, the Dream Academy were unfairly overlooked in terms of the mass audience they deserved. Critics and fans knew their worth.
