This makes me think of a time when electronic music was new and each new album was a wild journey into uncharted territory. When I listen to this kind of thing in that frame of mind, it's just....wonderful.

I listened to Steve Roach's Something In Tears on the way to see my mother when she was dying. I had had Quiet Music for a long time, and Steve's reflections on feelings, emotion, time and place have always been crucial to my life. This piece helped me sense the inferences of life, and was to make special the last moments I saw my mother. When I see her again, I believe I will hear the music of ecstacy that Steve's music pointed to, and then there shall be no more tears.
