  • i've never heard the word "Anruferkennzeichnung" before and i'm german? haha

  • @Linekaktus Google Translate must have made that word up :D

  • Avery: Hello.

Liz: Tut mir Leid. Ich wählte die falsche Nummer.

Avery: Das ist interessant. Weil es Liz Zitrone auf der Anruferkennzeichnung sagt.

    Liz: Hey giiiirrrrl.

Avery: What do you want, Liz?

    Liz: Look, I know............

  • Well when you put it like that... with the mean voice and all....

    LOL

  • I think she meant "Rufnummernanzeige" ANYWAY: Elisabeth Banks speaks German? What more can I want?!

  • @eduardrueb Well it's actually just Anrufer-Kennzeichnung, wie Caller-ID

  • anruferkennzeichnung mittle caller id in englisch grüße aus deutschland

  • Avery's accent sounds Swiss German, especially the first sentence.

  • @angel2901 thatsthejoke.jpg

  • @asdfasdsfsa It's been previously established that Liz is working with knowledge of German from high school. I'm not sure about the other lady. Could be the same

  • Liz Zitrone!!! Oh goshhhhhhh jajajajajajajajaja

  • @Durin01: Kennzeichnung rather means tag or designation, it’s something that’s used to mark something. Kennung describes the characteristic and unique feature or signal for the unambiguous identification of something, like a barcode, a radio signal etc.

The difference isn’t that obvious but there is a difference of meaning.

A “Kennzeichnung” is used to mark something, a “Kennung” is a unique code for the identification of something.

  • @eduardrueb: A literal translation of caller identification/tag. She says Anruf-Erkennzeichnung(call ertag) instead of the correct word Anrufer-Kennzeichnung (caller tag). Additionally the syllable stress is totally wrong. The proper translation is Anruferkennung, or better: Anrufer-Kennung—caller id. German is tricky sometimes. If you hyphenate the word in the wrong place you get Anruf-Erkennung (call recognition). That’s one reason why capital letters for German nouns make sense.
