Great point! The teachings of Islam are not justified via logic and philosophy, in the tradition of the west (and in my mind, common sense). However, this isn't to say that all Judea-Christian beliefs, can be backed by logic either. But In the West, almost all laws are free of Religious constraints. Sharia Law is primitive.

thats a different case. according to Sharia if a person leaves the religion in a muslim country they are to be killed yes. The reason for being that they will lead other to leave the religion. a person can be a non Muslim if they want but they want to spread the religion how else does anyone find out that you are no longer a Muslim. Again though these are OUR principles. We believe Allah is just and there is a reason for everything he decrees. You should become a Muslim.

@xzaxx all the muslim majority countries you have mentioned donot confirm to an ideal ''islamic sharia state''. No one.
none of these countries have a Caliph. only saudi is a close example but saudi has US armies on its soil, i mean they are allies. this is straight against the islamic law and sharia.
so how come these countries are islam ? except the fact that they are muslim majority countries.
why don't you blame corruption, dictatorship, mismanagement etc etc which is evident ?
