On 16th August, I managed to take a flying visit to Lancaster Station, to see what modern traction there was on offer.

Of course, as this is the West Coast Main Line, we first see a Vigin Pendolino, 390 031, "City of Liverpool" which arrived on a terminating service from London Euston, the train waited a few minutes in the northbound platform before leaving to change lines.

From the other direction, comes First TransPennine Express Class 185 185 142, as a Class 221 Super Voyager arrived in the opposite platform. Both trains then depart to their trespectful destinations.
Another 185, 185 142 is next to arrive and depart the Northbound platform.

In the bay platforms, Class 156 Sprinter 156 443 waits to collect passengers as 2 Class 15 Railcars, 153 369+378 arrive alongside from the Cumbrian Coast.
The 156 Sprinter departs next, for Morecambe.

Pendolino 390 031 then returns, and pulls into the soutbound platform to collect passengers.

Then DRS Class 66 66425 speeds through the station from Daventry with an intermodal train heading for Grangemouth.
Ths is then followed by the 2 Class 153 Railcars, heading north.

Then Freightliner Class 70 70010 and Class 66 66506 crawl through Lancaster light engine.

Finally, another Pendolino sweeps through Lancaster, heading south with its rear hatch open.
