The last walk around of my bike the day before I sold it. It was my first bike and treated me well.

  • thanks i guess the 650 is better then and one last question sorry to disturb you but how heavy is the bike cuz it doesnt say on the yamaha website

  • @MrBeefbertky yeah np. you're not bother me at all. Weight is 540 lb. I am a tall skinny guy and weight about 150lb. I never had a problem with the weight. Plus the bike rides low to the ground so it's not gonna fall over on you unless your real short and small framed.

  • thanks for the good info but can you tell me why its a good first bike because a lot of my friends say that 650 is a too powerfull engine and to start with lets say the ninja 250r

  • @MrBeefbertky omg. sorry. i get really upset when people say start with a 250cc. You will out grow a 250 soo quickly. Trust me. After of year of having this 650 I wanted a 900cc. Now there is a difference between a 650 sport bike and a 650 cruiser. A 650 sport bike is gonna have alot of power for a beginner. A 650 cruiser has torque. Still...I would not cave to the 250 because what people say and the price. I know I am one guy, but you have to trust me on this one.

  • nice bike i just have a couple questions would you recomend this a good first bike and also how did you make the exhaust sound so nice!!!!! but overall its a good bike

  • @MrBeefbertky Goto Google and type "V-Star 650 How to's" Follow that first link. Start with the 3 Hole or Telmo mod. If you don't like it then wiggle and rip out the whole baffle like I did.

  • I just bought a black 2004. Its real fun to ride.

  • thanksim prety sure this might be my first bike ur great at getting back at comments

  • @MrBeefbertky Definitely a good first bike. I sold it because I enjoy restoring & fixing bikes more than riding new ones. These bikes are very common on craigslist and you can definitely get them for a good price. Easy to fix and its a way better choice then a 250cc.
