A close-up knitting demo for the truly interested, others may want to wait for me to get out of my "knitting rut", LOL!! As always, PM me with any questions, even if you are a newbie to knitting or haven't picked up a pair of needles in years! I can help!

To find the links to the Mystery Shawl Along and Mystery Sock Along, plus a lot of yummy patterns for knitting lace check out Renee's site:

www.goddessknits.com

"Handknitting Patterns for the Goddess in You" Click on some of the pattern links, look at some of the pictures of the finished shawls and drool!

If anyone wants to try lace knitting and needs help in deciding on a beginning pattern, yarn or any other kniting help, please PM me.

(Didn't I just say that up there?)
Knit on!!!

  • im so frustrated..i just cant understand the knit charts. i've learned to read written out patterns really well (i'm a nooby btw) but knit charts just confuse me.

  • @pheonixphire I know it can be frustrating. What helped me is I was used to reading charts for counted cross-stitch. Start with a very simple pattern for lace. Say something that is just a 10 or 12 stitch repeated pattern and make a scarf. Keep it simple and small and by the end of the scarf a light will come on and you'll get it. Hang in there!

  • It wouldn't say k1 k1 k1 k1 k1 k1 k1 k1 k1, it would say k9...

  • @bubblebuffy Agreed, that is how it would be written out, but when I first started I had a hard time with knowing the number was how many times you did the statch so I thought newbies might appreciate the instruction. I shoudl have mentioned that K9 woudl be the appropriate way. Thanks.

  • Thaanks for sharing. What size needles were you using i this vid?

  • Very Pretty, Thnx !

  • what kind of yarn were you using in this video? i just love the color.

  • I noticed that you knit like I do. I go through the back of the loops rather than the front. I wish you could show how you do a SSK.

  • Love the color green! Happy knitting. Keep at it!
