Why do people have this sacred cow thing for ferrari, why not turbocharge it?? whats wrong with finding out how fast or how powerfull you can make a car? any car whether it's a piece of shit crx or a ferrari

It's not a fear but a cost of it. Used 360 goes for $100k then another $40k in the TT setup (labor is the main factor here). About the limits of this setup... You can go all the way to 15lbs but this engine on stock internals will hold up only 8 lbs. It's so "light" that there isn't too much room to play with it. Same problem had Heffner with his TT Gallardo - had to upgrade whole powerplant :-)

so stock turbo on F40 is a degradation as well? it takes tons of knowledge to turbo a Ferrari - it's not a honda you just put bolt-on kit on.

true but the 360 should not be treated like a honda. im sure you have to have extensive knowledge to put a turbo on a 360 because it was not meant to have one the f40 was designed by ferrari engineers to have a "stock" turbo. but to place a turbo on any ferrari just depreciates the car. it should be left all stock that is the beauty of the car.

you see... it all depends who's doing it... that setup was designed at the ferrari dealership - it's not any shop - they are ferrari engineers. of course it's your choice if you like it or not - this time customer requested such a mod and he got it. also value of the car increased by aprox. $40k. basicaly it's all down to the point where you treat your ferrari as a super car which was built to be driven hard or as piece in a museum which is not supposed to be even touched.

@ruaridh66 I am a die hard Ferrari fan. They are my favorite car and I think they are just perfect as they come. But if I ever got one I would twin turbo charge it...I mean why not? All it would do is make it an even more badass car.

There clients are all very wealthy, so actually that farrari is a pretty good bargin, for a race inspired vehicle, its pretty much all ready to be raced stock on the track plus a bit of luxury for a track car.

If you dont like it why did you watch the video? second off there cars are very reliable. and you can't compare it to a corvette or any other car. they are simply beautiful machines. like every other car and the New C6 Zo6 that is one bad ass machine.

Ferrari has 1 nice thing, the name. Everything else is garbage. Ridiculously overpriced, as if its made of gold.One of the least reliable supercars out there... some Ladas are probably better. Timing belt replacement at 18k miles?! WTF. Ill take a Z06 Vette over that Italian ponny any day. Nothin' sounds like a pushrod 7 liter V8 period.
