Akua is a West African Fante name given to girls born on Wednesday meaning "the sweet messenger."

With the tool of divination into my incarnation objective, my mother and our community had an official re-naming ceremony as a spiritual sacrament to reward my graduation into a higher level of wisdom and service for the community.

If she wants to be so african, why not Igbo, or Xosa or kiswahili or any of the other thousand langs. fr Africa? & if ur own PARENTS r fr africa, why can't u name the place specifically? You talk about some white girl embracing african culture, then there would be no say so.
