Music Man 112 RP Amp with EL34 Power tubes, One 12 inch Electrovoice Speaker and the RP stands for Reverb & Phaser. The guitar being played is a Warmoth Copy of a Mocking Bird. The pickups are Bare Knuckle Mississippi Queen Humbucker sized P90s. The Electrovoice is the higher quality speakers on these amps and the Phaser is very rare to find on any vintage amp. The clip was recorded using only the small microphone on the JVC mini camera that I filmed it with. The mic doesn't do it justice. It sounds much fuller and rich live.

  • I have one exactly like this, and there's no way in the world I'd part with it. These things are clean tone monsters, and the best thing is they're fairly inexpensive. Great video and nice playing.

  • @twb176 I agree with you in that these amps are CLEAN tone monsters..! They sound amazing clean but in my honest opinion the crunch channel on them sucks..:):) Still worth having just for the clean tones..":)

    Thanks for your comment!

  • Great sound and recording...Just got a dusty old HD 212 onethirty out of a lawn mower shed and need to restore it...What are you playing @ 0:40 ...can't put my fingers on it.

  • @thesonnyboy Hi Sunny boy.. it was a just a random riff.. no song that I know..:)

    Thanks for the comment..:)

  • That tone is sick. I want that BMK pickup

  • @1nfiniteSingularity

They are Bare Knuckle (BK) Mississippi Queens which are P90 pickups made to fit Humbucker sized guitars. I agree with you.. they rock! Thanks for your comment

  • 0:40@

  • I have the 110RD /1982 that's one of the Best!!

I only are lookin for a footswitch solo/ and accopany switch

The best sound is the MM distortion that will sound like Steve Lukather

sound in combination with hand madeMasterbuild Les Paul guitar incl tremolo

build by Mr Thomson of Zaandam also with my Fender Strat+ Lace blue red and silver ( Red/stag hubuck.)

  • How much does your amp weigh? I have the 65-watt version and I'm curious how much heavier the 100-watt is.

Also, if you crank your treble and mid to 10, bass to 0, preamp volume to 10, and master volume between 1 and 2, you can get a pretty nasty killer distortion with a humbucker guitar. Give it a try sometime. Make sure your reverb and phaser is off and the Deep and Bright switches aren't engaged.

  • @christrealized Crunch channel? I have a 2x12 musicman and it only has a single channel.

  • I does have that Jimi Hendrix (Hey baby) sound. On the right drugs you could make a fortune just playing like on the video above and talking about the inner light.Great sound enjoyed.
