And another thing, everyone who is saying that something from the world cant be made holy. Ask yourself what was musics original purpose in the beginning? To praise god right? So whos really copying? ?s or the world?

The same way that you have judged shai linne for not praising God the exact way you Want him to or personally believe that God would want him to, is the same way that God will judge you for the sins you've committed when you stand before him on judgement day. That scripture is found in the bible as well. The same way you judge others for their sins is the same way God will judge you for yours.

@trobace shai Linne does NOT use this form of musical art form to uplift his own talents and boost his self esteem to be worshipped as an idol. With every single solitary song he releases on his albums, he gives complete glory, honor, and respect to the Lord his God who saved him from his wickedness. And how dare you judge him just because you don't approve of his unique approach on giving glory to God. Would you judge Jesus for healing on the sabbath just because it wasn't lawful? You're judgi

@trobace alright mr. G craig lewis from dallas, texas. I think that you're reading just a little too much into this topic. This particular artist is not rhyming to seek approval and praise from the masses or whomever hears his voice. Have you listened to any of shai linnes other songs besides this one? He constantly gives praise to God the father, son, and holy ghost. He is not selfish in his walk with the Lord and he submits himself whole heartedly to his savior and would shun any of his fans

@ThroneNationStation The scripture says to sing making a melody in your heart to the Lord. we are not to sing to audiences like the world do. People sing or play music to show off their talent. Thats glorying the flesh and seeking the praise of men. I can sing as good as Marvin Sapp fred Hammon Marvin Winan etc. Its just talent God is not glorifyed in a persons talent or in the way a person sound but the flesh is. To God the melody is in your heart not the sound.

Yo cant drink of the Lords cup and of the cup of devils. Hip hop is music sacrificed unto devils you cant make hip hop holy, just like you cant take clean water and mix it with dirty othewise the clean become unclean. You cant mix Holiness with unholy DONT WORK! Is the scripture the authority in your life? Do your faith come by hearing the word? If so read theses scripture with an open mind? 1 Thes. 4:7, James 4:4, ( It gets good) 2 Cor. 14-18, 7:1, 1 Peter 1:13-16, 1 Cor. 10:20-21, Titus 1:15-16

@screwstonsoulja So you're saying that the origins of music are religious? I wouldn't be surprised actually.
Another thing; only God can sanctify (make something holy), but we can make something sacred, ie set it apart for religious purposes. Hip-hop as a genre ain't that, for sure, but I have no beef with Christian hip-hop in general. Check out Fr Stan Fortuna, a rapping Catholic priest- not my thing really but you might like.

See videos like, "Hip Hop Is a religion 1 of 8" This is a real good series on the subject.
Is the purpose of this vid to lift up Jesus Christ, or is it to validate the music form of hip hop? I've noticed some folks are so fanatical about the topic, it's to the point where its become an idol they all rally around to vehemently defend it. I'm not aware of any biblical examples where Christians had the luxury or the time to take up the charge for a particular brand of music. If I am mistaken, please tell me the scriptures so I can study this. Thanks.

(4) "Is the purpose of this vid to lift up Jesus Christ, or is it to validate the music form of hip hop?"
(S) Why cant this video be used to primarily lift up Christ, and secondly show others different ways to lift HIM up i.e using different musical artforms to praise HIM? Why does it have to be either or? There's nothing sinful about defending the Jesusward use of a musical artform against legalists who see non-traditional methods as sinful. Its a secondary issue not primary

(4) "I'm not aware of any biblical examples where Christians had the luxury or the time to take up the charge for a particular brand of music."
(S) Well the issue of Holy Christian Rap and Church extends from a much broader issue called legalism. Some well intended Christians are calling things sinful with weak Biblical justification. Their justification comes from feelings, vibes, or its just not tradition. Legalism is adressed in the Bible many times. See 1Cor 8.

the title of this video is kind of deceiving.... they make you click to find out the answer to that question.. but then they just play their own music.

Forgive me if I have decieved you in any way; but I do not understand your comment.
I played a song that some consider godly, and others consider satanic. The ultimate choice is up to God, but I wanted to see people express their reasonings behind their stances.
Could you elaborate please?
