The Fastest Voice Alive, they called her, and not without reason. Thanks so much Coloraturafan! I watched this with my family the night it happened in 1977 and haven't seen it since. Perhaps this is the bubbliest of all of Bubbles' signature arias, and she could pull it off right up to the end of her career, her artistry and ebullience carrying her so well that if a high note was a little wobbly when in the past it was dazzlingly secure it just didn't seem to matter. God bless Beverly Sills!

what I love most about Sills is her humour and spontaneity..she was so down to earth and she always had a smile on her face even though life had been a bit unkind to her.. it's so refreshing to watch her interviews!
