  • @padraic2001eire the lead actor in Eastern Promises is Scandinavian, Danish I think.

  • The presenter has always come off as a jerk to me.

  • @frenchielcfc The sad thing about how much some hipsters hero worship Ian Curtis and put him on such a high pedestal is that the real tragedy of his very human life and the beauty of his lyrics is lost amidst their inane chatter. Control was a loving portrait of a conflicted character, but This Is England was a far better film. Brutal, moving and very, very powerful. Anyway, as much as I like Control, I've always prefered Twenty Four Hour Party People.

  • I never new The Bourne Ultimatum was an english film :D

  • Well, as I said in the first comment, Paul Greengrass is British. But still, the British film industry doesn't need to claim films like The Bourne Ultimatum, it produces enough notable films!

  • i was also confused by the inclusion of the bourne ultimatum as well....that sort of reduces the requirements to "involvement of at least one major british person" lol

  • pleased they gave stallone a great reception.

  • a nod to white supremacy. the best british film is a horror film called "donkey punch". a highly intelligent take on violence and human nature.

dirty blockbuster went as far as labeling it a "drama" and taking it off the new release shelf after 6 months.

  • I'm sorry, but I don't get it. Eastern Promises is directed by a Canadian, its lead actor is American and it is see as a British film? Okay, but then The Bourne Ultimatum is financed by an American studio, based on a book by an American, its screenplay was written by Americans and its lead actor is an American, but because Paul Greengrass is English it is seen as a British film? I guess Ireland can start claiming whatever films it wants now!

By the way, This Is England is superb!

  • control is thousand times better than this is england. bet half the retards there dont even know who ian curtis was
