I was pretty dialed in to Van Halen and Dokken in their primes, and your comment is the first time I've ever seen anyone claim that EVH took lessons from George Lynch. I find that highly unlikely, since Lynch's style is heavily derived from EVH's and EVH was revolutionizing hard rock guitar on the Sunset Strip in 1975, more than 5 years before Lynch came on the scene. Can you cite your source for your claim?
