A fully qualified accountant with financial consulting experience post qualification? Time spent in the public sector? This Big 4 firm is catapulting its public sector financial management practice to the coal face - be part of the ride!

This prestigious organisation attract the "best in class", and that is what they are looking for as they build this new practice. It literally is the most exciting place to be within the firm at the moment. You will help to set the direction of the team going forwards, and given the impetuous to drive your own growth at the same time.

A background in the government sector, either as an adviser/consultant, or in a line role, is essential; and an excellent academic history is also a must. A private sector flair will also be desirable - the public sector are crying out for that mentality.

You will have a good operational knowledge and experience of public sector finance, accounting and policies at both local and central government level. You will be able to provide financial training to both financial and non-financial members of staff, and be able to present complex financial information in a concise, meaningful and accurate manner. A specialism in shared services and outsourcing is desirable.

Personally, you will be a self-starter, have an ability to influence, be flexible and highly analytical, as well as having a strong attention to detail.

If this sounds like you and you like the sound of this new and stretching challenge, then please contact Stephen Humphreys, the recruitment adviser at BLT handling this role.
