My debut battle with my new NU Trick Room (almost mono) Ice-type team that meant to be effective in all tiers. All legitimately bred in Pokemon Soul Silver (with great IV spreads) and EV trained to levels beyond level 50.

As far as I can see, I will be posting every battle that I have with my teams, regardless of whether I win or lose, just to keep track of my performance.

All the videos that I post should have non-stop action to save time, meaning the move/Pokemon selection scenes are completely skipped.

I happened to find another NU team for my first battle, which was a welcomed start for my own NU team.

  • Trick ice is something I've always wanted to do but there is only one Ice type that can learn Trick Room. Have you thought about a Jynx with an Iron Ball? Jynx is fast so people won't expect Trick Room form it so will be less likley to taunt it. Keep Banette however, as it is a good Darkrai counter thanks to its ability, Insomnia.

  • @UnderdogBros To be honest, I never liked Jynx as a Pokemon because it kind of scares me (along with you, Mr. Mime). But if it were purely for its stats, I'd recommend it if you were shooting for a mono-ice team.

On a side-note, I would still Taunt Jynx fearing it would use Lovely Kiss to put one of my Pokemon to sleep. Watch out for Fake Out, too. Probably best you have a teammate with Follow Me.

  • @GymLeaderEnf Yes, I frogot about that. Though because I always have a Darkrai counter on most of my teams I tend to be able to negate sleeping moves and so it hasn't really been a problem. I can understnad your logic though I was mentioning because they wouldn't expect a Trick Room from it. It's a shame Frosslass can't learn Trick Room...
