Kind of a "proof of concept" piece. Experimenting with the idea of the traditional onboard v-log. Nampa, Idaho, Lake Shore Rd East Bound. Feel free to comment on what you like and don't.

  • I'm sure you don't need it, just because everybody do this. You were cool being brief.

  • @Lex5151 Thanks!

  • Love the vids, but I was taught to keep in the right third on left turns. Because if it's a blind left, you don't want a truck or bus tear your helmet off.

  • @denelvo On a left stay outside (to the right) until you can see the exit and then you'll know when (or IF) you can make for apex. I think we're actually in agreement.

  • I love that you tackle real life traffic situation. Commenting after the fact makes for a more thorough analysis of each situation. I live in a big city though (Toronto, Canada) and have to deal more with congestion, signage and traffic caution than long winding roads and would very much appreciate more content along those lines. If you were inclined to do that of course ;)

  • @Junerahe I'll put it on the list!

  • Nice ride, Crash. Your lines are fine!

  • great video crash!!

  • what camera are you using and how did you mount it.

  • Thanks as always for the great vids. Your coaching style is fun and informative, which keeps me engaged beyond my usual ADD! Wondering if you can provide some tips on trail braking and braking into corners in general? Nice to see you've still got good (dry) weather to ride in. Located in British Columbia, land of never-ending rain... Ride safe!

  • hey

If you check left mirror before moving to the centre of the road to check if theres anyone overtaking

and then check both mirrors when you enter the new road

dont know whether you do that already but i thought id mention it because you make ace videos and i think american motorcyclists look up to you :)

  • Crash - would like to see you do this in urban and city areas, some that you know, and some that are completely new to you following signs. Keep up the good work.

  • HAHAHAH EPIC Capt! about time! :P

  • @CaptCrashIdaho Agreed with Junerahe. It's a nice vid but there's practically no traffic, there are no hills and visibility is mostly excellent.

I live in Hong Kong and roads like this just don't exist. There's a lot of traffic, roads tend to be narrow and bumpy, many corners are blind with a cliff on one side and a rock wall on the other, and elevation changes are all over.

If you come out here I'll have to lend you my bike so you can film in a crowded urban setting. ;)
