He's actually a good guy, the first 4 people that he kills deserved it. Its all about justice. He only started killng innocents, after demanding that he is released. And i think he died happy, because he knew he made his point.

You actually root for the villain in this movie. The man killing people is the bad guy who knows that the system is corrupt. The good guy is the lawyer who made a deal with real murderers.

Unfortunately, this movie has a dark undertone of government control. And this scene is a prime example of that. The whole movie is about "The System" being able to get away with corruption. The man who is trying to expose this in the movie (Clyde Sheldon) is the bad guy. The actual murderers in the movie are given special care and at the murderer at the end (Jamie Fox) is a hero. THis movie is a phsyop to get people used to the system controling them.
