White plays 7.b3,8.Ba3 to trade off dark sq bishops early.Also white place his Knights on f3 and e3, and plays for e4.Black invests in a king side attack.This game gives us a glimpse of why GM`s had took look for other methods of counter play on the black side of the dutch.

  • You are right man, if you employ this opening as black, you must not stick to one dimensional plan of direct king side but also consider playing new moves like opening up the queen side etc, etc. Stonewall is not easy to play against gritty and patient players like Reshevsky, Petrosian and many more. Thanks for the video. Nice presentation.
