This is a video of the grand unveiling ceremony for the new P-51D Mustang called Charlotte's Chariot II. The event took place in January 2010 at the airport in Jackson, Mississippi. The ceremony honored Mr. Cary Salter, who was the pilot of Charlotte's Chariot II in World War II. After the event, the Mustang was started and flames shot out of the exhaust stack. I was asked to do a rendering of Charlotte's Chariot II for the event. Mr. Salter signed the 51 limited edition prints, which are available for sale at pilotsandprofiles.com

  • Awesome video, it`s people like you and those who keep the Mustangs in such fine shape alive, to keep the memories going and honor the men who flew them, I thank you. My father was in WW I, and I was a Nam era vet for about 10 yrs, take care and God bless, Paul.

  • I just added part of an interview I did with Lt. Cary W. Salter, Jr to my youtube account. (flashframe1966)
