DC Locals Protest California's Proposition 8

Today California's Supreme Court upheld the decision to keep marriage between a man and a woman - otherwise known as Proposition 8. I got word of a meet-up in Dupont Circle, just a block from my place, so I decided to check it out. Here is what I found.

even though it shouldn't have been an initiative to begin with. Its okay though because it will be overturned... It sucks for now but things are changing. I mean come on even IOWA is on board.

The CA Supreme Court did not uphold a decision. The CA Supreme Court upheld the law. Proposition 8 was a ballot initiative passed by the people of CA in accordance with the Constitution of California. For that reason, the CA Supreme Court did the only thing it could in this case, namely UPHOLD THE LAW.

It is not a question of if, its a question of when.
