This is Part 1 of a video, written, composed and produced by myself and a friend in contemplation of where Easter really came from and what it should mean to us as human beings living on this planet we call earth in these troubled times we live in. We are working on a Part 2 for this at the present time.
Along with the RC church adopting parts of the festival of Ishtar the fertility goddess(Easter) they also changed the sabbath from the 7th day to the 1st day which was a pagan worship day. They used the argument that this is the Lord's day because He rose on this day. Mark 2:27-28: Jesus said that He is lord of the sabbath day and the sabbath was and is the 7th day of the weekly cycle just as the 4th commandment says. Jesus came not to destroy the law but to fulfill it for us.
That was our point in making this. It is an attempt to remind people that the festival called Easter for Christians is not about hiding easter egg's but about the death of Jesus on the cross and His rising from the dead all of which was done so that we might be saved. I have not been able to find acceptable material to do part 2 of this which would be about His rising on sunday morning.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE TRUE MEANING OF EASTER? The ressurection of the messiah Jesus/Yeshua has nothing to do with easter. Easter was and still is the worship of a false godess. The origins of the roman catholic church as well as protestant churches come from paganism because, christians do what God says not to do; they mix the Holy with the profane and try to justify thier deeds. Read Mark 7:8.
