A scene from the BBC's "Life in the Undergrowth" showing a tight triangular net used to catch a fly and a net-casting (Deinopidae) spider fishing a cricket with a "cobweb sack" using its own legs.

  • That's extraordinary! This was actually my favourite part of the whole series - I was fascinated how the first spider mastered the physical mechanics of its tight web, building the elastic potential energy before releasing it.

I remember when my mother saw the gladiator spider using its silk net, she was so flabbergasted she said "That's not a spider! There's a wee man in there!" lol

  • Seriously YouTube, take your fucking ads and shove them into your sternum. Yea, I said sternum.

  • @megajlaing yes well the calender had to stop at some point so I guess for them 2012 it was just a random year. I gonna laff my ass of when its 2013 and nothing has happened in 2012! lol! anyway why the fuck you talking about this on a video about spiders?!?!

  • it was just a small joke anyway. go to that spot in the video and you might understand the joke, there's supposed to be massive natural disasters within less than 50 years affecting the earth, mark my words

  • oh forget you man, you say the same thing all these other people say, its the BEGINNING of the end of the world, whether you accept and like it or not.

So why didn't they stop creating years with their calendar at year 2000? You're telling me that a 2012 they just got bored and stopped? c'mon man get out of high school thats what they TEACH you little buddy.

  • @megajlaing -_- actually in all reality 2012 is just the end of a CYCLE of the Mayan calendar so we'll be living onto 2013.

  • 3:37 OMG, that will be 2012
