Emerson, Lake & Palmer, also known as ELP, are an English rock supergroup. They found success in the 1970s and sold over forty million albums[1] and headlined large stadium concerts. The band consists of Keith Emerson (keyboards), Greg Lake (bass guitar, vocals, guitar) and Carl Palmer (drums, percussion). They are one of the most commercially successful progressive rock bands and from the outset focussed on combining classical pieces with rock music.

One would have to be void of a sense of a soul to dislike a well coordinated piece of work that is timeless in its melody and lyrics. I saw them in person one Sunday afternoon as their tour bus travelled on highway US 30 and they stopped into the grocery store I worked at in 1978 where Greg Lake and his bodyguard stepped into the store to get a few items at their local Wiseway Grocer. It was a trip!
