@dlowzanetti What sucks about this movie is that it didn't get nominated simply because it gave a bad impression on Brazil, and tourists wouldn't visit. I found that very retarded, this movie was excellent and they made a horrible excuse. Scarface didn't leave tourists from visiting Miami.

it is true
black is always criminality
and white is the of police
its the old representation of black/white and good/evil

this is by far the best action movie trailer i've ever seen!!!! Now that's good shit!!! I feel shamed for the american SWAT after seing this, can't wait to see it in USA, it deserves an'oscar just by this 9 minutes.

There are both black and white people among the cops and the criminals. Matias, one of the protagonists, is a black cop (scene at 3:50), while the drug lord (appears later in the movie) is white. The corrupt cop (8:15) is also white.
Unfortunately there are indeed more blacks in favelas than in the police. The scenes at the university (later in the movie) show no blacks except Matias.
I think the depiction of these groups' racial composition is realistic. Unfortunate but true...
