HOLY COW!!! The exciting finish to the Winston Motorsports 300 at South Boston (Va.) Speedway!

Randy LaJoie (#74) leads the field to the restart with 5 laps to go, trying to hold off Dale Shaw (#4) and Buckshot Jones (#00).

Dennis Setzer (#43) and Mike Dillon (#72) spin in turn three, no caution as the leaders had already taken the white flag.

LaJoie and Shaw talk about their battle to the finish.

  • to bad they did :(

  • too bad they did what?

  • oo well randy lajoie said in his interview "i wish they would keep these track on the series forever" n as we al know.....they no longer go to any of the 3 bull rings south boston, nashville fairgrounds, or myrtle beach.

  • gotcha lol

SoBo kinda went downhill after this race as far as i am concerned

the groove never again was as high as it was

it became a one-groove track, on the bottom, especially after they rebuilt the pit road

  • Thanks for the race!

  • @BlueCelicaTRD one of those #74 FINA cars recently sold at a Barrett-Jackson auction for about $30,000, restored to raceable condition and everything, even came with an old driving suit, helmet (signed by Randy LaJoie), and a few other things

  • my uncle grew up with randy in south norwalk, connecticut

  • Dale Shaw's best career finish.

  • I miss Randy LaJoie and that #74 Fina car

  • Great finish! LOL at 1:46 at the crew member taking the cigarette out of his mouth.

  • yea i remember some of the busch races when it was smaller.....but i still wish That the nationwide series would put a smaller track on the schedule like mansfield was for the trucks
