امیرحسین نوژن متولد سال 1359، در شهر شیراز است. او تحصیلات خود را در رشته گرافیک به اتمام رساند. موسیقی را از سنّ 12 سالگی و با ساز سه تار، زیر نظر استاد منوچهر پژمانفر آغاز کرد. ردیف موسیقی ایرانی را از سال 1376 و از محضر استاد داریوش طلایی، با استفاده از سازهای تار و سه تار آموخت. شیوه نوازندگی و آموزش این استاد برجسته، او را به تحقیق بیشتر درباره ردیف موسیقی ایرانی، و مکاتب نوازندگان پیشین سه تار واداشت.
او از آموزش های اساتید دیگری از جمله هوشنگ ظریف، جلال ذوالفنون، مسعود شعاری، بهداد بابایی، و زنده یاد محسن شمس بهره برده است.
وی مفتخر به شاگردی استاد محمد رضا لطفی است. به مدت سه سال در دوره های تخصصی استاد لطفی حاضر بود و در حضور ایشان ردیف میرزا عبدالله و نیز قطعات دیرینه موسیقی ایران را مرور و تحلیل نمود.

او از سال 1377 تدریس شیوه نوازندگی سه تار و تار، و ردیف موسیقی ایرانی را به هنرجویان علاقمند آغاز کرده است. وی اکنون عضو هیئت رییسه خانه موسیقی استان فارس است و آهنگسازی و سرپرستی گروه موسیقی نوا (در شیراز) را نیز به عهده دارد وتا کنون کنسرت های متعددی در ایران وچندین کشوراروپائی داشته است.
AmirHossein Nojan, was born in Shiraz, Iran in 1980. In college, he studied "graphic design", but his passion since childhood has always been music. At the age of 12, he started playing the "Setaar" (a member of the lute family) with Maestro Pezhmanfar. He later continued his studies in Persian classical music and its various movements (radifs) as well as learning how to play "Taar" (another member of the lute family) with Maestro Dariush Talaei in 1998. The style of playing and teaching of this great Iranian music master encouraged him to conduct his own investigation into the different methods and styles of older master setar players. He is proud of his most recent apprenticeship under Maestro Mohammad Reza Lotfi. In the last few years he has been involved with the analysis and review of the music of Mirza Abdullah and other older Persian music pieces.
In addition to the above noted artists, he has benefited from the teachings of great masters such as Hooshang Zarif, Jalal Zolfonoon, Masud Shoari, Behdad Babai, and the late Mohsen Shams. He established and directed the "Nava Ensemble" in Shiraz that made performances in several cities in Iran, as well as Europe and Central Asian countries. In Shiraz, he was a member of the Organizing Council of Fars Home of Music.
