This video is a little longer than most of my timelapses. I wanted to capture the Cloud features and the evolution to snow and snow covered grass, etc. The timelapse started around 11am and went till 8:00pm. If you watch the video long enough you can see intermittent snow showers and at the 3/4 mark you will see when a heavy snow shower came thru to finally cover the grass. The heaviest snow will occur late night tonight and into tommorow. I plan to do another timelapse for tommorow as well. Total Snow accumulation at the moment is about 1/2 inch and a total of 7+ inches is expected by Noon tommorow. Winds today were from 5mph-25mph. Tonight winds will be around 35-45mph. My area does have a Winter Storm Warning posted for snowfall and wind concerns. Enjoy... /// COPYRIGHT GERRIT GULDEN 2008 //// http://www.severeidaho.com ///
I remember that winter storm. I left home to head to work @ 11:30pm and it took me an hour to drive from Ammon to Rigby. That was the first snow fall in 4 months to the day, June 11th, 2008.
