TOPIC: Bailout failure

TRANSCRIPT:
NORA ODONNELL: We heard Sen. McCain yesterday attack Barack Obama for his response to the economic crisis. I want to play that.

JOHN MCCAIN: I know that many of you had noticed that its not my style to simply phone it in . . . Ive never been afraid of stepping in to solve problems for the American people and Im not going to stop now.

ODONNELL: That was McCain saying he doesnt phone it in, and yet, the day previous, Mark Salter . . . said, quote, he can . . . do what he needs to do by phone. Hes calling members on both sides, talking to people in the administration, helping out as he can. So, can he phone it or can he not phone it in?

TUCKER BOUNDS: . . . I will actually mention that I think we may have given Barack Obama too much credit because there are reports this morning that he actually didnt phone it in . . . and I actually think that some of the blame can be laid right at the feet of Barack Obama but Im hesitant to do so for this reason, its a sensitive crisis . . .

ODONNELL: A lot of people say that there was a failure of leadership all around on this. Do you know how many Arizona Republicans from John McCains home state voted for this bill?

BOUNDS: I know that he was in contact with them, I know that he tried to persuade many of them. I also want to mention that there were Democrats—

ODONNELL: None of them voted for it.

BOUNDS: Democrats for Barack Obama, Illinois delegation didnt vote for it either, lets, lets look at for this for what it is. I mean, when Jesse Jackson Jr. votes against the bill . . .

Corporatism LOVES Socialism!

The world needs confidence in the US $ Dollar NOT more hyperinflation & US Debt! We need LESS US Central Planning, MORE oversight and a REAL free market.

Printing MORE fiat US $Dollars to encourage more Wall Street greed will debase the currency, end confidence in the $Dollar and cause a MUCH larger collapse later!

Real Estate AND the stock market MUST be allowed to return to their TRUE value NOW before the problem grows any larger!

You'd think the guy could have shown a little more ambition when he went to Washington. For a guy who took a pretty big political risk, he sure didn't get much done. That must have been pretty embarrassing when he found out the bill failed after he was bragging about his performance. Too bad about Palin. I can't believe she keeps doing it!
