This is really just a practise short to become more familiar with animating the movements of a person and my first real attempt at 'The Walk' using a wire armature. I didn't use the useless aluminium wire from my last attempt (see armature falling apart video) but a thinner craft wire which has proved very good. Of course its only good on small puppets because its only 0.5mm wire. Anyway It was also a practise putting recorded sound into my shorts, I recorded the very basic guitar track using a very primitive method of putting my flash camera right up to my amp and recording onto Audacity and then cutting the short with sound in my cyberlink powerdirector software (which is laughably rubbish as it came free with my camera and I need somthing better like Adobe premiere. The character is quite a sinister looking dude I made using epoxy putty as a base and filling out with white plasticine and glue-gunning his clothes/hair on. The face is predominantly epoxy putty, only the eyebrows and chin are plasticine. Also the debut of a new 'faux-production company logo' that I animated with the guitar track again recorded by me. This is going to be used on all of my animations from now on as I really like how it turned out. Peace. OMG how are you so good at this are you taking some kind of animation course or summin

Cheers, no I haven't taken any courses but have always been into creative art etc... It's really not that hard to do, you already have done something with bluetack and that's a good start, you just need to keep going at it. I don't really have much time to do animation at the moment cos i'm doing an IT course but from time to time I do a bit.

yeah yeah but the eyes and stuff on this video are amazing like where did you get them and the hair its just amazing but yeah im starting like a little series thing now and i've been observing the really topnotch videos like yours and thought about movment and other factors

The eyes I got from a market stall where I live but I think you should be able to find those in pretty much any craft shop, ask for 'acrylc irises'. The hair I cut off a monkey mask I had lieing around and glues it onto the head with a hot gluegun. It's all about experimenting. Stop motion artists such as 'the brothers quay were well known for using 'found objects' in their animations.

Did you do the guitar yourself it sounded a bit over distorted, oh well

Oh btw If you really want to hear some strange guitar sounds just watch my 'Horror under the bed' short I just put up. All the sound was made with my guitar and messed around in audacity. Watch with the volume up, or headphones on is best.
