i ride a harley and some of the older harley guys wont wave to crotch rockets.. i dont give a shit.. if i see 2 wheels i will wave.. usually i wait for the other guy.. and if the other guy is like me and waits then no one gets a wave and we keep cruisin..

I ride a Harley and I wave at everyone even the motorcycle cops. They are surprised when I wave at them. They're like "No way, that greasy biker did not wave at me"! They always wave back though. The only ones that don't wave back are the "real" bikers. You know the kind, have a patch and a dog leash hanging off the clutch lever. I don't care if those fake tough guys don't wave, I'm not a homeless drug addict so it's ok.

It seems that there is a medical condition that effects many (not all) bikers on a cruiser which prevents them from waving at other bikers. Luckily there are a number of talented surgeons all over the globe who can fix this problem, but not everybody can afford a proctologist so they are destined to view the world through brown tinted glasses. You are no better than me on my jap bike so pull your head out and see the sunshine.

One of the first things I noticed when I started riding my bike was that the guys on the cruisers don't like to wave at me on my sport bike! I never had a problem with Harley's or any other cruiser bike, but now I am starting to hate them!

Totally agree. Same thing happens to me all the time. I even went to pick up a TV once I'd bought off Craigslist. TV was in a garage, along with the guys nice Harley. I said "nice bike, I have a Ninja" the arrogant prick said "sorry to hear that"

a lot of the cruiser blokes I suspect, are new to riding or returness ares decades away, and are not conversant with the wave culture

I Agree with you bro. Us bikers take a risk everytime we get on our bikes. Harley,sports, cruisers, and even mopeds/scooters! I wave at everybike i pass. Too me its a sign of respect and drive safe. Cause we all wanna make it from point A to B, B to A. And return to our familys safely. Ride safe guys/gals.

Personally, I wave to everyone and when I can't physically wave I give a head nod. I have found that like you, many cruiser riders do not wave or acknowledge me on my crotch rocket. What I have also found is that there is a difference in the volume of waves I receive from cruisers in relation to the gear I am wearing at the time. When I'm wearing my jeans and shoes I get less waves than if I wore my riding pants and boots. I don't wave at scooters, it seems most don't know about the wave anyway.

I waved a scooter a few days ago because it was cold and it was my way of saying I respect that your riding in cold weather too plus the look on his face was "you made my day" and nodded back

You know I do the same thing, I wave at everyone just to show that I'm saying "hey how u doing, ride safe". Glad to see there's others out there who do the same:)
