The Real SPNKr Halo Rocket Launcher

This is a prop I made a while back, but never got around to finishing. Well, a crazy friend of mine (Trevor) came into town and we had some model rockets. I put the two together (crazy friend + rockets) and put a quick finish on my launcher and created a rocket to shoot out of it.

It shot from the back of the parking lot to the back of the ball-field, a good 400 feet or so. This video does not do it justice, but it's as close as you can get without being there.

This little stunt of mine has made me want to finish the thing, and I think I'll go back to working on it after classes come to an end.

It is 1:1 scale at around 44 inches long (I forget exact specs if it's slightly shorter or longer).
