DCC SERIES (part 14) Program Points Decoder

In this video I show you how to program as per instructions in the inclosed booklet with the decoder. This is for the R8247 Hornby digital points & accessory decoder. The R8216 decoder should be the same procedure.More to follow.

if you want to transfer to dcc do you know the power piece track do you have to have a certain dcc power track piece or can you stick with the dc one, and just connect it to a dcc controller plz help ....

@mongoosekid14 You can use the Hornby R602 power clip, R8241 Digital power track rail section, Peco track power clips, or any DC power clip. Or as i've done, simply soldered two wires to the track. Wherever & when, a power feed to the track is needed.

This is nothing like it says in the Elite Manual for programming a points decoder. Why are you doing it this way?

Yes it is. I was following the instructions booklet that come with the accessory / decoder.

Yes, 513 is a group programing code for the points decoder. Just follow the instruction sheet that comes with the decoder. Cheers.
