Vital Signs - Rush - bass cover

A cover of one of my favorite basslines by Rush, most people say it sounds like the Police, I think so I suppose. Im at odds with my basstone, Im trying to get that nice biting, growl, but since Im playing on a Squier Jazz, that might be the issues. Thats not to say I dont love my bass! I flubbed more than a few times, but Im in my den and no one is paying me, so nyah!

I'd also like to dedicate this vid to Jamzales for his inspiration in getting me back into playing bass in a big way.

Rush is a good band for any bass player to get into. The mainstream loathes them, but what do they know? To me Rush has always been about being true to your aspirations, being the best musician you can be, and always doing the noble thing in life, whatever that may be for you.

Thanks man, the arpeggios were the hardest part to get down. The lil chord structure going into the chorus are nothing easy to transition to either.
