Pilot performing the instrumental '55 Degrees North 3 Degrees West' live at BBC 1975 radio concert programme, introduced by Alan Black.
The songs title refers to the geographical location of Edinburgh.
I'm beginning to prefer this one to the album version! Seems to have a more raw sound to it, feels like it was designed only to be played live on stage.
Fantastic musicians.!

Great live version indeed. If one one hand this necessarily lacks the additional keybs of the studio version (including the synthbass), it has great energy on the theme in drums and rhythm guitar presence.

Thanks! Love this one, and hardly ever hear it. Used to play in my DJ slot at at the Iowa State U student radio station in the 70s.

When I first heard this live version my jaw dropped - remember there were no midi files or chances to redub back in 1975. Great track - thanks for putting it up Nigel.
