If you think Doug Gilmour is semi-successful or Wendle Clark then please don't call yourself a Leaf fan bcause you are nothing more than a whiner...And if you think celebrations like this are a waste of time, think for a second what it may do to some of the current Leafs who slowly learn to understand the importance of what being a LEaf means...Now go cheer on your Habs and shut your mouth

@m13579k Did I say Gilmour shouldn't have his number honored? I said, if you read what I wrote, that it's pathetic they only have semi-successful players (if we are basing success on winning championships) to honor and pay tribute to. Which is true. Such a long lineage this team has, and nothing to show for it in 40+ years. Ask anyone who isn't a delusional Leaf fan.

@xXFKxAustinXx What does your comment even mean? Dougie "does what he wants"? I'm sure he didn't put MLSE in a chokehold whilst trying to convince them to honor his number. They more than likely came to him and requested his appearance for it. "Leaf Nation" is just desperate to keep a hold on the history that showed some glimmer of success. There sure isn't much nowadays.
