Remember that unit 2 has a low water containment of only 60 cm of water... Oh, and they're still working on that 10 year fuel removal plan, while molten corium has left the building...

Spent Fuel Pool in reactor 4 - if it collapses - it's teetering now - would require the evacuation of 30 million people for Tokyo. Imagine the logistics of that...

Hi MsMilky, not sure where to report this so here it is. I just used 3 Geiger counters with (alpha windows) from a local university that all calibrated the same from a sample, to test environmental samples - my vac. cleaner bag, sandals, paper towel wipe of floor, wipe of rain exposed picnic table, and control samples - NO radiation detected, just minor background. I admit to being very surprised. This is in a West Detroit, MI suburb. With a tech from the University, we checked and re-checked.

Yes indeed. The numbers they record by geiger counters are probably accurate, but the health effects of no cancer under 100msv is inaccurate and deceitful!

Household uses 60% of energy but contributes 91% to Tepco's revenue. While companies contributes only 9%.

This is surely due to a deliberate policy to subsidize company energy cost and hidden tax to private consumers. The distortion can mean companies do not realize the true cost of energy.

Also, it explains why Japanese companies would want nuclear power to stay, however dangerous.

But the Disaster is hitting the Northern Hemisphere countries and all living things there.

Just checked a car air filter with at least 17000 miles on it, and it came up cold. An occasional tick on the Geiger counter, put the alpha window all over the air filter, also checked a car that had been parked in the weather for years, nothing. Buzzed like crazy as I got the detector near the sample, so it's all working.

So, West of Detroit the environment seems radiation-free. No excess at all in my small test.

NE Japan has been getting swarms of 5.2+ and 2 x 6.0s recently. These are likely causing the new leaks. Do you think that if fuel pool 4 has been affected they would tell us? Usually takes months for genuine updates from TEPCO/NHK. (Critical thinking required as you put it). This cover-up and any lack of REAL action by anyone makes me wonder if the whole world has not been Zombified somehow??
