  • @jk642795: Yes, you can tune it to open D, which is DADF#AD and then capo 2nd fret. You then play the exact same way as shown here, just relative to the fret. It is easier to tune this way and it is much easier on your guitar neck. I've seen Rich Robinson play it this way on acoustic versions. I prefer to do it this way, but the sound is not quite as rich and full as the way shown here. This version here, by the way, is done very well, nice job.
