It's a reassembled tune made (by me) with mixed episodes of Amériques first version (1918-21), recorded by R. Chailly, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Decca, 1998. Varèse "The Complete Works".

Thanks for your appreciation. The first source of the discovery is the important biography written by Varèse's wife Louise: A Looking-Glass Diary 1883-1928, New York, W.W. Norton & Company, 1972, p. 151. In my opinion there is another movie with Varèse actor titled "Away Goes Prudence"(1920) by Robertson, with Billie Burke. I think there is not home video version of this film. Ciao. Bep Scuri.

thanks for posting this and the information. I 've watched this movie countless times and never knew the dark policeman in tophat was Varese. I knew he was in this movie in the flashback sequence. I guess I didn't pay that good of attention.
