This week in Iwate Swan, I spent some time on the weekend just relaxing and visiting some of the local shops here. My main destination was Ito Yokado, the largest department store in the city. It has a food court which includes McDonalds, a grocery store, clothes, toys, video games, and a little arcade on the second floor. Very cool place, and I was quite surprised that such a large store was up here.

After that, I ventured out to a neighboring store which sells used manga, books, dvds, cds, action figures, clothes, and so much more. It was amazing! From the walls of Super Nintendo games, to the pokemon and dragon quest cards and shelves and shelves of comic books, it was certainly a great place to check out.

As always more adventures next week. Thanks for watching and see you next time!

  • Rewatching these videos. His are such a pleasure to watch, it's almost like rediscovering what I love about Japan.

    We're lucky to have these.

    Miss you, Rodger

  • @8:51 LOLOL

  • this guy oozed kindness

  • Greatest Video Ever... Makes me wanting to go to Japan just right know... although I should learn the language first...

  • This puts me in mind of one of the things I always really appreciated and respected about Rodger: His sense of childlike nostalgia, despite being only in his early 20s. It just seems to be a rare quality in most young adults nowadays, and I think it's great to see another "grown-up" who wasn't afraid to let the little kid in him come outside and play once in a while. R.I.P. , Swan. We miss you. :'-(

  • that place is AWESOME!!
