@SpinninDan Actually, Vaslav Nijinsky was never filmed during any performance. Sergej Diaghilev, the founder of the Ballets Russes, always prohibited it.

a lot of people may find this fascinating but to me it's a bit of a charade.
Definitely one of the key elements to Nijinsky's art was his movement, but this isn't the movement of Nijinsky, it's the movement of a computer.

It may not be real film, and shouldn't be touted as such, but it fires the imagination!
-
is all this "footage" of nijinsky fake or real?
-
Merci, thank you.
Comme on aimerait en voir davantage des prestrations de ce danseur mythique!

Yes, like Indonesian Wayang puppets

You should try ease in/ease out on these images.

However this was created-it is still haunting, beautiful and intrigueing in it's own way. It makes me yearn to see the great Nijinsky dance even more.
I am a widely-published authority on the photographs taken of Nijinsky during his career, and the question of whether he was ever filmed performing.
This is obviously a computer-generated adaptation of still images, not a lost film of Nijinsky. The "film sequences" start and end with well-known photographs, which have been connected via image-morphing software.
It is a disservice to the arts world to present this digital creation as a genuine film of Nijinsky. Please stop this charade.

This is well done and has a very cool effect, but maybe specify that this is not actual footage- it seems to be misleading some people.
