@kawaii5439 the problem wasn't his accent the problem was his wrong pronunciation of words like development(develoopment) and obstacle(aabsticle). The point is there are many iranians who speak very good English but they have to give the job to him cause he is a basiji or he's got contacts and it is embarrassing for Iran.

My American husband and I had no problem understanding his question even with his "Espain." Most Iranians have difficulty in pronouncing the" S" sound even after living in the US for years. I guess the German news reporter was mocking him. But why?! It’s not like Germans have perfect English. There's no such thing as perfect English in the World! Also, I see that most of the comments here criticized the Iranian reporter’s English in Persian!...Have a great day.
