Russian flag planted on N Pole seabed

Members of the largest ever Russian polar expedition, `Arctic 2007`, have completed their first mission to explore the seabed at the North Pole. The expedition hopes to prove that a large underwater shelf, possibly rich in oil and gas, is part of Russian territory.

Apparently, a lot of Canadian nationalists think that the North Pole is exclusively theirs but it also belongs to the USA, Russia, Norway and Denmark, not that it even matters. If you personally do not own the North Pole, then wouldn't you rather that no one does?

@meronmotors Ok lets start with a simple thing. We are in the 21st century. Soviets are long gone! (i am from Bulgaria btw) And we were NEVER and i mean NEVER short on cash. Any socialist country had more money than their capitalist counterparts. There simply wasnt that much to buy. I dont know from who you get that information but go tell him he/she/it is damn stupid.
