This is just me kind of ranting and going off on a tangent after watching a couple videos from HealthyAddict, one of them was entitled "Chivalry sucks". I go on a bit of a side tangent, sorry about that, but I try to bring it back to subject.
I think chivalry is harmless in the large scope of things and that there's a lot more significant factors to why we have such strict adhesion to gender roles.
The term "Feminist" is a joke...
"Equalitist" might work, but the term "Femenist" has gone down the road of "getting even" instead of "getting equal" and are adhearing more and more to the "SCUM Manifesto".
I am against men and women treated badly... differently, for following their heart. But just AS important is ALLOWING people to do what they want without being pissed on by either the side of "chauvinistic pigs" or "chauvinistic Feminists".

@misterkaira I'll agree that yes, the terms are sexist, but they're also the quickest way of describing a particular behavior. I work hard at saying a lot without having to use a lot of words, without having to ramble very much, but I will take into consideration in the future that those words are sexist.

@kizzume and perhaps the gender neutrality of "dick" is subjective; however the fact that I can call my female friends a "dickhead" without insulting their sexuality but can't call my male friends "bitch" without insulting their masculinity is why the two insults are not equal in terms of gender neutrality.

@kizzume I deleted it because I tried to do something in the script, but I'm retarded and youtube isn't my usual stomping ground. I'm just trying to point out a flaw in your logic - you should take a women's studies class, that's not an insult but constructive criticism - I appreciate your intent in making this video. The point I was making was that you yourself were saying that you can't stand bitchy or queeny people, which is sexist because those terms are sexist.

@misterkaira I wish you hadn't deleted your other post. I don't know why I can't speak against the stigmatization of femininity while also speaking against the negative stereotypes of femininity. I don't know why those things have to clash.
And "dick" is not any more gender neutral than "bitch" is.

@kizzume to clarify, I think you make some valid points in the video; but you say what you don't like from either gender is "bitchy, queeny, whiny behavior" You associate negative behavior with stigmatized female roles (there are other words to describe unfavorable behavior; pretentious, pushy, overbearing, etc.) You continue, saying its bad to associate these roles with femininity. Your pejorative use of "Bitch" and "queen", (which by official definition are women) contradict your argument.

and yes, i think it's fine if a dude gets offended for being called a dick - although this is a gender neutral term and it's not sexist nor uncommon to call a woman a 'dickhead', where calling a man a 'bitch' means something other than calling a woman a 'bitch'
