Wasn't Davidson the young man who testified at Wurtz trial, that history wound up showing (The likes of which included his own confession to the fact) That he was actually never held at Andersonville (AKA Camp Sumpter)

The character of Davidson was an actual person who testified at the trial, but in our research (most of the cast members were diging for info) his wasn't one that came up as a hoax. In the 2nd act there is a Sgt. Gray who was later proven a fraud, but he's the only one we knew of who was actually lying. There were several others too (in reality), but the play only presented 7 witnesses out of hundreds.
