In this first part of the video series, we leave Carlisle middle road aboard 6Z50 Carlisle to Gloucester with locomotive 47375, only to have an engine shutdown just north of Preston.

The renowned 'Marauder horn' can be heard leaving Carlisle and we soon pick up speed when Rob does a brake check and then we build up power again and head South.

Part two to follow soon....

  • Rob is the driver i take? If it is i was chatting to him at Shildon Station August 13th, not to long ago, if its the same lad he works for Grand Central now. He was stuck there when his HST was just in front of a broken rail, causing it to be delayed. Thats if its the same Rob.. I was with the Signalman.
