@firestonemagic When I had started in '79, I would practice WITHOUT fail, a minium of one to five hours daily, after work. I was doing cababet in those days; Beta max was around, VHS, just starting. I used a motor back NIkon, to record and study my work. Tribal fusion was in its' infancy, J. Iris Stewart of "womandance", was doing "proto fusion" 1980. It was/is a joy!

i get so enrapt in her performance, one of those performances where u fear to blink or even swallow less u miss the slightest movement in her dance which can be paired with a journey towards her clever design....but then it's not over-done and yet doesn't deserve the title simple but i get from it a primal nature, really beautiful

she looks timeless.
Sometimes I have the feeling in this earthy dance, that she is about to give birth to "PURE ART' Literally.

As a dancer myself- the only way she moves like that is SERIOUS practice and muscle memory! Seriously- you're talking hours of practice!

Have you ever blown out a candle and the smoke lingering for a few seconds after that rises above it? Her dancing reminds me of that. It is amazing.
